My 66.5h-240km sea-cross swim of 20 years ago

20 years ago, on this very same day, after 240+ kms in 66h 29m 19s, I finished a swimming race from Ciutadella (Menorca) to Sitges (Barcelona). And looking back, what did I learn?

  • Even in the darkest of nights, you can still advance if you know where you are going.
  • Nothing truly remarkable is ever done alone. People just often forget to mention its teammates.
  • When someone says you cannot do something, he is probably not ready to put in as much effort as you do.
  •

To those who have dreams: decide where you want to go, find the people that are crazy enough to follow you, and never, ever, give up.
